Delivery & FAQs
Delivery
How will the sculpture be delivered?
The delivery method will depend upon the size and value of the sculpture: Items with a value up to £750, and not exceeding 20kg when packed, can be posted to you free of charge via Royal Mail.
For larger and more valuable sculptures, I prefer to deliver in person (UK only!). this service will normally be restricted to locations within an 80 mile radius of our postcode HR2 8EZ. Distances are calculated based on the shortest route.
Can you deliver on a specific date?
I can organise to have your sculpture delivered on a specific date, for a special occasion, birthday or anniversary. But to avoid any unnecessary disappointment I would advise delivery at least one to two days prior.
Do you deliver Internationally?
Yes! I can arrange deliver internationally using a trusted and insured courier service. I will require a full delivery address and contact number to be able to provide you with an accurate shipping quote.

FAQs
Do you undertake bespoke sculptures / commissions?
Yes, I'm always happy to discuss creating a sculpture to your requirements. Please feel free to call, email or use the contact form here. For more details of the process, see my Commissions page.
Can you arrange the groundworks and landscaping if required?
Depending on where you live and the size of the sculpture, I can assist with arranging any necessary groundworks.
Do you install the sculpture?
It depends on the size of the sculpture and where you are in the world. I can supply instructions for foundations or fixings to make installation quite straightforward. In more complex situations, I can personally install the sculpture.
Are the sculptures weatherproof?
Yes. In general, my sculptures are weatherproof. Many of them are carved from Portland stone, which is suitable for permanent outdoor display. See my section on care instructions.
Are there any maintenance requirements?
The sculptures may need cleaning from time to time. Please see my section on care instructions.
Are plinths/pedestals available?
Yes, if required, plinths can be supplied for the sculptures for inside or out, in a range of materials and surface finishes.
I work closely with a specialist bespoke plinth fabricator to obtain a stable and secure plinth that is complementary to the sculpture and the intended location. Installation can also be arranged if required.

Care Instructions
Care & maintenance of outdoor sculpture
Portland stone sculpture
Portland stone is suitable for permanent outdoor display.
My Portland stone sculptures are treated with a stone sealer to help protect against staining and frost damage.
For outdoor pieces, over time a natural patina will develop on the Portland Stone and the outer crust of the stone will harden. Many people like this natural weathering, others prefer the pristine look.
To help maintain the sculpture's original appearance it can be cleaned with a damp cloth or soft brush and water.
Never jet wash a natural stone sculpture this can force water into the stone causing fissures and deterioration of the natural compaction and cementation of the sedimentary stone. (Jet washing is ideal for concrete and cement)
Any difficult to remove stains can often be lifted with a toothbrush and a natural stone cleaner or a little Milton sterilizing fluid, patch test first and rinse very thoroughly with plenty of water afterwards. But it is best to not clean the sculpture too often (once a year at most) and as little as possible with cleaning products, as it may begin to spoil the surface. A light sanding with fine sandpaper can be effective for stubborn stains if done very carefully, just remember you are removing the surface! Don’t attempt this on highly polished items, detailed or textured surfaces. Using a cleaning product or sandpaper will require the sculpture to be re-sealed once dry.
I find it is better to not place your sculpture too close to any large trees or under overhanging branches as it will begin to green quickly.
If we have a particularly harsh winter it may be best to wrap the sculpture with a blanket/old duvet and plastic or bubble wrap overnight to ensure there is no frost damage.
The stone sealer should be reapplied every 3-4 years after thorough cleaning to help maintain a pristine appearance. I generally use a water-based stone sealer, such as LTP Mattstone H20. Always follow instructions.
Please get in touch if you need any more guidance, I'd be happy to help.
