Like a lot of people, I saw Jan on Make It At Market and knew my next purchase of a sculpture (I have several!) would be by him. My husband died last year and he too had liked simple sculptures, like 'Hug'. I am so glad that I bought this - it is beautiful. Very simple and effective at imparting that all important meaning and message in a hug. I usually buy limited edition pieces, but just love the simplicity and elegance of this. I saw what Jan could do on the TV and was utterly amazed with the skills he had to work with natural materials and create simple but powerful sculptures. I couldn’t decide between 2 sculptures so ended up getting both and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. Jan was very helpful throughout the whole process and is definitely someone I would go back to when I’m next looking.
