Simple, tactile and made to be handled and cherished, it is meant as a comforting reminder of the power of close connection with others. The form was originally conceived following a troubled period of my life, and I still find it emotionally therapeutic to carve.
My hope is that it will provide a special timeless gift for loved ones or just for looking after yourself, at a time when world needs more hugs!
Each 'Small Hug' bears my inset sterling silver maker's mark in the base, and is delivered in a gift box complete with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
The process of making the 'Small Hug' will be featured on a BBC programme in early 2025. It's all top secret at the moment, but sign up to the mailing list here to be informed of the release date and details when they become available.
