Introduing the 'Silver Hug' ❤️ - A Sculpture You Can Wear
For a long time, I’ve been sculpting variations of hugs in stone: stylized figures embracing, weight and softness held in balance. These forms began as a way to explore connection — how it looks, how it feels, how we carry it. The feedback from people buying the stone hug sculptures has been incredibly heart-warming.
Now, for the first time, I’ve translated one of those forms into something small enough to keep with you wherever you go - and to wear.
The 'Silver Hug' Pendant
The Silver Hug is a sterling silver pendant cast* from a wax miniature one of my original stone sculptures. It’s part of the same body of work that’s shaped my studio practice — just in a different material, and a different scale.
Each piece is hand-finished and made in small batches. It comes on a sterling silver chain and in a luxury gift box - ready to give. I think of it as a quiet token — a way to carry a moment of care, closeness, or memory.
Whether it’s a gift for someone you miss, someone who’s grieving, or just someone who matters more than words can say, the Silver Hug is created to make a meaningful and lasting gesture of love.
Why a Hug?
There’s something timeless and universal in the shape of an embrace. We give hugs to say hello, to say goodbye, to comfort, to celebrate, to forgive. The form I’ve used in sculpture for years now is abstracted — no faces, no detail — just the essential lines of contact and connection.
That simplicity carries into the pendant, too. It’s not showy. It’s quiet. And that’s what I love about it.
