Safe is a contemporary figurative stone sculpture depicting the protective embrace between parent and child, hand-carved in Portland stone by Herefordshire sculptor Jan Bruce.
Evoking the enduring and protective bond between parent and child, the sculpture explores the sense of security, reassurance and unconditional love found in close human connection.
The embracing figures create a strong sense of shelter and closeness, while the simplified forms retain the warmth and tenderness of the relationship. The sculpture invites contemplation of the instinct to protect and the comfort of knowing that someone is there for you.
At 23 inches tall, Safe has a strong presence in a home, garden or outdoor space.
Shown on an optional weathered steel plinth, available to order separately. See the plinth here.
